Why They Called Me

This client, a busy mom of three kids under the age of nine, with a full-time job and schedules to juggle, came to me asking for a trusted partner to help keep this trip moving for her and her family. Like many families, taking vacations like this are important times to recharge, bond, and create memories but often times the time it takes to plan and coordinate can make it feel like “another thing to do” rather than something to look forward to.

Destination & Trip Expectations

This family came to me looking for the perfect place for their family to experience a relaxing yet kid-friendly spring break for 2026. They had already decided on their destination of Amelia Island in Fernandina Beach, Florida but because of their busy schedules, asked that I step in to help research different hotels that could meet their needs. Their priorities when choosing which place was best for them included: beach accessible, access to pool(s), and enough space to be comfortable when they were in their room.

My Approach

When traveling with multiple kids, especially for five days, choosing the right home base is critical. With kids there is always an element of “expect the unexpected” and so having a space that can accommodate any situation that pops up - like when one kid needs a nap, or appropriate space to store extra snacks, or even a washer and dryer so you don’t need to pack as heavily. - are all considerations that can make travel a bit more relaxing. These are small considerations but can make a big difference.

What I Booked

I presented my client with multiple options to consider but the one that made the most sense for my client was within the Omni Amelia Island Resort and Spa. In addition to standard hotel accommodations, this property also includes condo/townhome rentals on-property for family travel or for those who are looking for just a bit more space. The Villas are fantastic vacation rentals because they offer quiet, private surroundings with full access to Omni Resort amenities. The villas range from one to three bedrooms, or single family homes with three to four bedrooms, so this definitely checks the ‘plenty of space’ box. Each property includes full-sized kitchens, dining areas, living rooms and pool access. And finally, my favorite part is that The Villas of Amelia Island also receive exclusive access to resort amenities at Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa. This means access to restaurants, shops, 3.5 miles uncrowded beaches, 7 miles of private walking and biking trails, access to two resort pools and a kids splash pad.

For access to areas of the resort that may be farther away, the resort shuttle is complimentary for guests to get around more easily.
